W at Philly 10k; Strong PRTC Showing
Chrissie Ramsey made her Philly 10k debut in style this past weekend, with a win! Along with 7 other PRTC members, Chrissie took on the unique local race early Sunday morning. The event featured near perfect running weather, enthusiastic crowd support, and a course that winds through South Philly in a way that no other race quite matches.
Among many, PRTC race highlights included: Chrissie taking first by an undeniable margin of nearly 30 seconds. Max making his PRTC (and 10k!) debut via California’s Strawberry Canyon Track Club and Liz surpassing early fall expectations leading to excitement for other upcoming races.

Duo Make XC Season Debut
Paul Matuszak and Chris Mateer returned to XC racing this past weekend at Belmont Plateau’s signature Hall of Fame 5k. The pair both logged strong performances in what is surely a good sign for the upcoming XC season. Paul, Chris and Jimmy Daniels of Moore Elite Track Club worked together throughout the race until separating at the top of Flagpole Hill. Jimmy narrowly beat Paul to the finish with Chris steps behind to secure a strong 3rd place showing. Congrats guys!

Chris Mateer: 16:37 (3rd)
Thanks to all who participated in this year’s club election! Voter turnout was strong, nearly matching the estimated 58% participation rate in the 2016 presidential election. And to think, we spent a total of zero dollars and ran no negative ads!
As expected, we welcome back the below members and are pleased to report that Chris Mateer will take on an official role as Men’s Director.
President: Kevin Brandon
VP: Justin Simard

We also took a look at the responses to the open question, “Please share any suggestions you have for PRTC.” The thoughtful replies were much appreciated. We’re always open to feedback and will continue to look for ways to grow as a team.
